30. About Liberation

By a fortunate coincidence, I participated in an event where several masters were preaching the Dharma, a tradition passed down for thousands of years. I listened carefully to the sermon and had some exchanges during the breaks. In the end, I understood that the ultimate goal of Dharma can be summarized in one word: liberation (breaking free from Samsara, eliminating ignorance, and relieving sufferings). Once liberated, you reach the other shore of extreme happiness. Oil lamp, cold house, abstinence, vegetarian diet and chanting scriptures and songs are all for this liberation. The Master said earnestly, “Suffering is practice. Suffering is life.”

The other shore they are striving for is the World of LING (BEING). In the World of LING (BEING), I have never heard of a LING who is keen on suffering. However, in the human world, there are plenty of people who suffer for the sake of liberation.

The preaching of the master can be called "ancient method of liberation." I am not saying that these methods are wrong, but which shore people can reach depends on their level of Jue (Perception) Shi (Cognition).

To make an analogy, it's like travelling from Tianjin to Jinan. Three hundred years ago, ordinary people either walked or took a donkey cart when they went out. It takes about ten days to get from Tianjin to Jinan. When setting off, you need to prepare the cart, bring enough dry food, prepare forage, and even prepare a cushion for your butt. The cart driver would ask, "Are you prepared for the scorching sun, heavy rain, rough roads, bumpy and muddy tracks?" You would reply, "That's where I want to go, I am mentally prepared, and not afraid of the sufferings." The cart driver would smile and nod, "Suffering is the journey."

Today, there are high-speed trains from Tianjin to Jinan. You can sit on a comfortable seat, close your eyes and rest, you can even read a newspaper or drink a cup of tea while enjoying the scenery, and you will reach your destination in just over an hour. If someone still wants to take a donkey cart, I respect their personal choice. Everyone’s choice is determined by the level of their Jue (Perception) Shi (Cognition). I am not saying that donkey carts cannot take you there. I just want to tell everyone that there are more choices than donkey carts and there are also better shores on the other side.

Liberation, in the view of Yi, is merely "awakening and projection of Jue (Perception) Shi (Cognition)". When Jue (Perception) Shi (Cognition) is awakened, ignorance will be eliminated.

History is changing. Yi is like a dedicated high-speed train set up for those who desire to be awaken and liberated, heading towards a more beautiful shore. It brings you not only liberation, but also more.
